Dr. Kimberly Bui grew up in sunny Southern California, where she spent most of her days swimming, playing piano, and reading books. She received her B.S. degree in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology at UCLA – the University of California, Los Angeles. She remained at UCLA for another four years to earn her DDS degree. During her time in dental school, she enjoyed visiting elementary schools to teach proper dental hygiene, and frequently participated in health fairs for the community. Wanting to experience a change of pace, she moved to New York City and attended the orthodontics residency program at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. She is trained in all aspects of orthodontics including traditional metal and ceramic braces, Invisalign, surgical orthodontics, and temporary anchorage devices (TADs). Upon receiving her certificate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics three years later, she decided to stay and work in the city. Dr. Bui joined Modern Dental after achieving Board Certification status from the American Board of Orthodontics.
During her free time, Dr. Bui enjoys supporting the arts by going to the ballet, classical music concerts, and Broadway musicals. She loves learning about other cultures, playing piano, listening to BTS, participating in the occasional karaoke session, hanging out with friends, and relaxing on the beach. She looks forward to creating a beautiful smile for each and every one of you!
