Your oral surgeon

Dr. Agrawal completed his dental training at the UCLA School of Dentistry and his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Northwell Health Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he went on to serve as chief resident at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Stony Brook University and the VA Northport Medical Center. His training covers a broad range of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including dentoalveolar surgery, oral pathology, maxillofacial trauma, jaw reconstruction, disorders of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and dental implants. In our office, his focus is ambulatory care: extractions, dental implants, bone grafting, oral medicine and oral pathology.

Procedures we offer

  • Tooth extractions, including teeth that are broken, badly decayed or cannot be saved
  • Wisdom tooth removal for wisdom teeth that cause pain, crowding or infection
  • Bone grafting to rebuild bone where it is needed before or during implant placement
  • Dental implant surgery, from single implants to All-on-4 full-arch treatment
  • Oral pathology and oral medicine: evaluation of sores, lumps and other changes in the mouth

Planned with 3D imaging

Our cone beam CT (CBCT) scanner captures detailed 3D images of the teeth, jaws, sinuses and nerves. It helps us diagnose problems and plan surgery and implant placement before treatment begins (your office experience).

Comfort and sedation

Oral surgery is done under local anesthesia, and nitrous oxide and IV sedation are available for patients who want to be more relaxed. If you choose IV sedation, bring someone to drive you home. Larger procedures and surgeries can be scheduled on weekends by request.

Recovery

Before your procedure, we explain how to prepare and what to expect afterward, including what to eat, how to keep the area clean and when to come back for a check-up. If you have questions while you heal, call us at (212) 758-1000.

Insurance and payment

We accept major PPO plans, including Aetna, Cigna, Guardian, MetLife, Delta Dental, Principal and Empire, and we can file out-of-network claims for you. We check your benefits before treatment so you know what your plan may cover (insurance). Patients without insurance can ask about our Kleer membership plan, and financing is available with CareCredit and Cherry, subject to credit approval.
